Located at the intersection of the Lower East Side and Chinatown, Coming Soon is Helena Barquet and Fabiana Faria’s democratic approach to home-design retail. The couple, who maintain close relationships with the living designers who sell here, offer everything from $10 holographic tote bags to $3,000 credenzas from Pierre Cardin (and the prices go up from there). While the driving focus is midcentury vintage (think Milo Baughman and Mies Van Der Rohe), Coming Soon also champions a healthy mix of young brands and designers, namely Chen and Kai, Anna Karlin Studios, and Areaware.
