This West Village gourmet market and specialty wellness store, opened in 2017, is a natural extension of Cafe Clover, a health-minded New American restaurant in the same neighborhood. Through the front windows, the Studio Mellone–designed space looks more like a luxury apothecary or skincare boutique, with its curved mahogany shelves backed by black-square tiling. Granted, niche skincare and beauty products abound here, but it’s the hard-to-find supplements, organic produce, and great gift ideas that have already earned Clover Grocery a loyal clientele. The most popular items? The house-baked seed crackers (whose packaging, like Clover’s store signage, was created by Savvy Design), Coconut Cult probiotic yogurt, and Essential Wizdom Super Human Probiotics. Something else to keep in mind: most Clover regulars don’t leave without first grabbing a coffee, tea, or smoothie from the bar.
