With just three rooms, La Valise requires advance booking, but its comforts are well worth the extra planning. Housed in a charming 1920s townhouse in La Roma, the hotel offers a certain quiet and privacy difficult to find in Mexico City, and the accommodations take full advantage. La Terrazza, the hotel’s most luxurious suite, boasts a bed on rails that can be placed on an outdoor terrace for a night under the stars. Each individually named room has distinct décor from the interiors firm Chic by Accident, which, ironically enough, put forth great intention and restraint. Ordering room service is a must, as the menu comes direct from the acclaimed local eatery Rosetta, helmed by chef Elena Reygadas.
